Background: I grew up working in the restaurant industry as my family has restaurants in Vero Beach, FL and Milwaukee, WI. I graduated from Cornell University in 2003 from the School of Hotel Administration and I've been working in the hospitality industry in Chicago since I moved here that summer.
Inspiration at work: The guest experience. When a guest tells you that they had a great time and really loved the food and service, it brings it all together. All the efforts and contributions from everyone on our staff is what makes this possible. It's very humbling, but it feels great.
What is the key to doing your job well: Being prepared and focused while still having that mindset of keeping things loose and creating a positive atmosphere. It's like having your friends over for dinner. You want everyone to enjoy themselves and you want do whatever you can to make that happen.
What do you love most about BoHo: The staff. There's a great camaraderie amongst the staff and it really helps create a fun, positive atmosphere in the restaurant, which trickles down to the guests.
Fun fact: Music is a big part of my life and I also help manage a music promotion company in Chicago; it's called 8 Track Presents.
Favorite dish on the menu: Chicken Paprikash and Freeman Pinot Noir. I could eat those all day!
